Matthew D. Baylor joined McRae & Metcalf, P.A. as an associate in 2017. His practice primarily consists of business and commercial litigation, with an emphasis on Surety matters.
Mr. Baylor attended Florida State University for his undergraduate degree and received his Juris Doctor from the Florida State University College of Law. While in law school, he interned for the Pinellas County Attorney’s Office and was a research assistant for Dean Donald J. Weidner. Additionally, while at Florida State, he was involved in the Journal of Land Use and Environmental Law, the Business Law, Real Estate Law, and Estate Planning & Elder Law Societies. Mr. Baylor also obtained a Certificate in Environmental and Law Use Law and was the recipient of the Environmental Law Book Award and a Distinguished Pro Bono Service Certificate.
Mr. Baylor is a Florida native, born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, and watching Florida State football.
