Benjamin “Ben” C. Patton

Benjamin “Ben” C. Patton joined McRae & Metcalf, P.A. in 2016. His practice consists of litigating disputes in a wide array of cases including construction and surety law, insurance claims and defense matters and personal injury cases.

In his practice, Mr. Patton has represented contractors and subcontractors in multi-million dollar disputes and successfully defended sureties on numerous bond claims. Mr. Patton also has extensive experience drafting and negotiating complex construction contracts on behalf of owners, contractors and subcontractors.

He graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Political Science and received his Juris Doctorate from the Florida State University College of Law. During law school, he clerked for the Honorable Judge Robert Wheeler and the Honorable Judge Kevin Carroll in the Florida Second Judicial Circuit. He also participated with the Children’s Advocacy Clinic at Florida State University, where he received a Pro Bono Service award. He also was selected to participate in the prestigious Florida House of Representatives Legislative Internship Program, where he worked for the Judiciary Committee analyzing legislative policy.

Ben is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys spending time on the water with his wife and two sons.
